WordPress Wednesday #6: Oh sweet, Mail Chimp

today we are talking about MailChimp… oh yes, sweet sweet MailChimp!

i am NOT a fan of Google’s Feedburner. do you know what Feedburer is? if not, good, you’ve not been tainted.

so, instead of focusing on the negatives of Feedburner – let’s focus on the positives of MailChimp!

why we love MailChimp:

  1. it’s free for the first the first 2,000 subscribers & you can send out up to 12,000 emails for free each month
  2. easy peasy Newsletter options: you can make a custom newsletter or use one of their pre-made designs {& still customize} and quickly send out a newsletter quickly & efficiently
  3. an RSS integration tool: we use this to send out our daily blog posts to our subscribers. read more about it here. {this is the VERY thing that Feedburner does – but MailChimp is WAY cooler!}
  4. add to a WordPress website: simply add this widget: MailChimp Widget & follow their simple directions to add a little subscribe box to your website {like we have in our sidebar}
  5. their tools are so easy – a monkey could do it! & if you can’t figure something out you can request support, chat online or call in for support.
  6. did i tell you it’s free, easy to use & you would be silly to NOT check it out?

do you have a WordPress site or considering one? check out our blog for other WordPress Wednesday posts! or contact us if you have any questions & want to get started!

Disclousure: If you clicked on any of my MailChimp hyperlinks or this one here or here… & then you sign up for an account, our small business gets “MonkeyRewards” that we can use to upgrade our account.

    I’m excited to check it out! I really really need to start sending a regular newsletter but I’ve been dreading it… Perhaps it won’t be so bad after all :)
